Unlike the countries in the West such as United States of America, Middle Eastern countries tend to be on the conservative and modest side. Nonetheless, children in both worlds share a common love.

Girls Will Always Love Dolls
No matter where you go, or what mores you believe in, little girls fancy dolls. Barbie, the most famous doll and icon of westernworld, is a doll who is liberated and fashionable. And with her character, the world has ever since loved her. However, thanks New Boy Design, a Syrian based toy company, Fulla was born. They seem to have understood very well the market of the Muslims and Arab as they created this better alternative to the glamorous Barbie.

This 11 ½ inch doll looks totally like Barbie. However, she is an Islamic doll. Known more so as "A Girl’s Dream Doll".She hit the market in 2003 like a storm, but the idea has actually been formed around the 1990’s. The Fulla doll is a character model for Islamic little girls in plenty many ways. Starting From her exterior form to herinner characteristics such as values. And also, even in preserving the Muslim culture, Fulla Doll is unquestionably the best choice to Barbie.

This doll is in fact a result of a smart marketing, bringing out the best of the Islamic lifestyle. This is the reason why the Fulla doll stands out among all the other Muslim inspired dolls that have come out in the market. There is more to this lady other than her black abaya and hijab.

Fulla's Image
She is an icon. She embodies woman who is careful, honest, loving, caring and faithful respectful as well. These things are some of thecharacteristics that Muslim parents would want their children to become. Parents who have had bad purchases can now be confident if they buy this doll.

Fulla wears her traditional hijab and abaya most of the time in order to make it suitable to the Arab market. With that, option to Barbie. Fulla, though, is not so boring when it comes to fashion, since she has indoor wear as well. These clothes were designed with fashion and fun in mind, but keeping modesty as well.

Fulla As Barbie's Alternative
As to why Fulla dolls was created and is being sold to conservativeparents - is because it plays a role in influencing everyone's expectations. This comprises Fulla's role as a daughter, a national to the country where she lives, a woman with great self respect and pride, a smart woman who serves through her work and more.. These qualities, values and characteristics as a modern woman is never embodied on the modern Barbie doll.

Ever since it has entered through the market the craze never stopped and its sales are now unstoppable. (...)

Ever since it has entered through the market the craze never stopped and its sales are now unstoppable. Over 1.5 M dolls are sold in Middle East and continues to rise up is this now considered as a Fulla phenomenon?

Overwhelming Response to Fulla
It has really been outrageous when Fulla has taken all the Middle Eastern stores by storm leaving its western contemporary Barbie on the back seat. She is seen in more toy racks than any other existing doll. For years many have tried to create a Syrian type of doll but no one has ever got a response as stronger and unbelievably enormous as Fulla did. So what is it in her that makes Fulla so unique? Why is she more popular than any fashion dolls in the market? Is it the price? Or is it more than just a pink box with a beautiful doll inside it? Find out why.

Fulla’s Appearance
Fulla is looks similar with Barbie in some ways. Their hair color and eye details vary so much though. But aside from that, the wide array of dresses and accessories and the love of it is one of the common things both share. Fulla has a long tress with somewhat burgundy streaks. Her large hazel eyes are even more emphasized with her eyebrows having slight strokes of mascara. Fulla is displayed wearing a Muslim traditional dress the abaya and a headscarf or hijab.

Fulla’s Uniqueness
So if you think that her outfit and her appearance is what attracted most buyers into purchasing Fulla dolls then you can think again. As there have been so many earlier attempts of Syrian dolls in the market no one has created a doll that is based on a strong character. This is the main reason as to why parents and children loved Fulla and continued to love her ever since. She is seen with respect of self, high self esteem, educated, respectful, loving and caring, she is the an emblem of what a Muslim woman should be. These are the things that other creators have failed to recognize. These are the things that made Fulla outstand among the prettier and sexier kind of fashion dolls.

How it made well in the market
The strategy used by the Fulla creators has in fact placed Fulla into the pedestal. Fulla doll portrays the culture and values and this image and influence is instilled to little girls who will take on with their own lives in the future. Her lifestyle is placed on a different dimension but never fails to live in the realm still affected by outside influences but keeping values and traditions on the forefront. Above everything else, Fulla is brought to life with a personality that embodies what every Arab parent would want their children to be. Fulla is definitely a sure hit and will continue to capture millions of hearts of parents and children. Fulla is able to teach little children the right things even before she can even open her little delicate pink lips. She is truly adorable. A sure hit and phenomenon!

There has been numerous attempts of other companies to create Islamic dolls and made it to the Arab market but non has been accepted and adored by many like how the Fulla doll did. As the Eastern contemporary of the famous liberated Western Barboe, Fulla has become the answer in the Middle East and has sales sky rocketing eversince.

Fulla the fashion doll
Fulla’s name came from a scented flower that is a variety of a jasmine flower to be found only in Middle Eastern countries. She is sold in a pink box with modest and conservative attire that represents the traditional Muslim dress. She wears a headscarf or more popularly known as the hijab and a traditional black dress to cover up her wardrobe- the abaya.

She is an emblem of a typical Muslim woman and she has earned praises that ranges from little girls and even parents alike. The morale values has come to a decay because of so many outside negative influences and the Fulla has stand out giving people a kind of hope that everything will still be restored back. Fulla is made based on character and less of her physical appearance. There is more going on to her rather than just what meets the eye. The Fulla doll gives the parents the chance to feel comfortable about their kids playing with a toy friend. Her influence is just greatly giving hope to children and also to parents that traditions and values are preserved.

The Modest Fulla
Although many has attempted to make an Islamic doll but no one has toppled the market like FUlla did is because of the marketing strategy that the New Boy Design Creators has implemented on the Fulla doll. She recognizes the need of the people to be able to see something –even in a form of a doll- that promotes not just a character but a good character. She is advertised as a modest and conservative Muslim woman and she sends out nothing but positive messages to the people. She is an emblem of a woman that respects herself and her family and friends. She is loving, caring and also a career woman that is ready to take on the challenges of the future. She is determined and willing to face the future with dignity and also with much confidence.

How Fulla connected with children
She has been a source of connection and comfort for many little girls all over the globe and her influence has reached not only the Middle Eastern countries but as well as in Europe and even in the United States of America. She was able to bridge the unknown and the people from different countries were able to know the Muslim traditions and values by her and with that they also learned to accept and love her. SO what seems to be a world away was now just a playtime away because Fulla doll was able to teach these children core values and overtime the differences between culture and race were now being accepted as they are.

Most of the western countries like United States of America for example are the liberated countries unlike the Arab countries that are found on the Middle East who are modest and conservative. (...)

Most of the western countries like United States of America for example are the liberated countries unlike the Arab countries that are found on the Middle East who are modest and conservative. But again, even with such difference in beliefs and lifestyle there is still one commonality between them and that is the children wanting toys to enjoy and play with whichever part of the world you maybe.

Dolls
Little girls are undeniably fascinated with cute dolls and that would never affect the cultural differences. The most famous icon Barbie of the western consumerism is a very fashionable and liberated doll. She has reached the markets all over the world and has managed to market itself even after 50 years of existence. She though was always the center of criticism and with that conservative countries like Saudi Arabia had the parents even more uncomfortable of its existence in the Arab Market.

Until recently in the year of 2003 the Syrian based creators New Boy has created a fashionable doll but recognizes the needs of the parents and children and made Fulla as an alternative to the existent Barbie.

The Fulla doll
She measures 11 ½ inches and she is somewhat similar to Barbie but Fulla is an Islamic doll that is a role model to Muslim little girls in numerous ways. Her appearance, which is portrayed on a pink box with her long black tresses and her large hazel eyes, she gives sophistication and emphasis of the unique features of an Arab woman. She wears a headscarf or more popularly known as a hijab and wears something that would cover her clothes up that is called an abaya- a traditional long black dress with long sleeves made to cover most parts of the body.

Her name originated from a scented flower which is a variety of jasmine but this is only seen to grow in areas in the Middle East. She is an end product of a very shrewd marketing that no other designers have come to realize and that is making a doll that would be based more on character than her physical features. This best proves that Fulla is a great alternative not only to Barbie doll but also to other Muslim dolls who just donned a hijab and an abaya without the character an values.

Fulla’s image
She is a loving person, with a strong character. She loves and respects her siblings and mostly her mother and father. Aside from that she is seen with self worth and with a very high self esteem that gives high regard to her society. She is determined to take on the future’s challenges by making sure that she educates herself and pursue a lifetime career that would not only help her family but the society as well. Despite all of these, Fulla is also a friend and a confidant to many. She is never a bore and although most of her time revolves around her family and home, she makes sure that she socializes with other. Most importantly Fulla has a strong faith that encourages every little child to recognize their beliefs and have strong faith to their God. She regularly prays using her pink praying mat and that she also reads her Koran every night before bedtime.

Fulla can never be compared to Barbie because in ways and actions they are really very different from each other. Get our Busty Barbie, its Fulla’s turn now.

All Middle Eastern countries are considered to have modest and conservative Muslim women residing in it. (...)

All Middle Eastern countries are considered to have modest and conservative Muslim women residing in it. Barbie, although adored and loved by almost every corners of the world, she has remained criticized, unloved and seen as a threat to traditions and beliefs of the Arab countries even up until the present.

Arab Parents Preference
Like any other concerned parent, they would always want to provide the best for their children. That would include buying their kids toys to entertain them during their play time. However, the concern of the parent doesn’t end there because a big part of the worry would still remain with how their children are influenced with their “toy friend”.

A toy’s ability to alter kids’ perception shouldn’t be underestimated. These Arab parents recognized that very well and so when Barbie has taken its place on the toy racks, they were kind of hesitant. Until recently during the 2003, the Fulla dolls were introduced.

The conservative and modest fashion doll donned a hijab and a traditional abaya. A hijab is a headscarf while a traditional abaya is actually a long black dress with long sleeves and is worn over clothes. Its debut has banished the fear of thousands of parents of buying their children dolls. Many children became obsessed with Fulla. Along with her traditional dress and hijab comes a pink praying mat which she uses when praying during bedtime after reading her Koran.

Not a boring Fashion Doll
What is really exciting about the Fulla is that behind her modesty is a fashionable and also sociable doll. It is really surprising to know that even if Fulla is conservative she still has a wide array of fashionable garments and clothes. Aside from that, she wears color coordinated dresses and accessories to make dressing up plays even more fun.

Her outfits are never just limited to traditional Muslim dresses as she is also a woman of the modern world that reflects other outside influences but is still able to keep her traditions and culture at heart.

Fulla is a must buy
Fulla is then further intensified and improved by having indoor costumes that would really entice kids and parents to buy her. Also her outfits are colorful and it seems that she is so lovely to look at that she becomes irresistible to anyone.

Fulla’s height is in between 11- 11 ½ inches and she dons a long black hair that also has burgundy streaks on it. She looks really demure with her eyelashes having been placed with a moderate amount of mascara just enough to put emphasis on her large hazel eyes. Her lips are delicate looking with a fuchsia tint.

Fulla is a fashionable doll but it takes more than outfits and great hair and wide tantalizing eyes. She has a strong character that is ready to take on the future and her influence has taken everyone by storm. Fulla is a must buy because you will truly get your moneys worth back unlike other dolls out there.

All parents would want to provide the best for their children. That would include buying the right toys for their children. (...)

All parents would want to provide the best for their children. That would include buying the right toys for their children. Although sometimes this becomes a challenge because what you think would be best for them is not what they point at the toy store. However parents should look well over the welfare of their children first rather than giving them what they want at that particular time.

The explanation part would sometimes become difficult but that is rather simpler than meeting the consequences in the future about what could be a dangerous influence to your kids.

So when the Syrian creators have developed such a shrewd and fine idea to marketing- Fulla became the end result. Fulla which is also a fashion doll is named after a scented flower that uniquely grows only in the areas of the Middle East countries. Unlike other dolls, Fulla is full of character and has respect for her self. Her fine characters would include respect for parents, honesty, loving, caring and is an achiever. So what makes Fulla assure parents that she is worth buying for?

Fulla’s outfit
She originally wears a traditional abaya – a long black dress with long sleeves that covers most part of a woman’s body and is worn over dresses. She also has a headscarf or a hijab to cover up her long mane. Her wardrobe though is just not limited to this as Fulla also engages socially and still goes to the mall just like any ordinary woman in Middle Eastern countries.
Fulla has a wide array of fashionable clothes but she never ignores her tradition and culture so she is still dressed modestly yet fashionably. Her skirt still should always fall below her knees and her shoulders should be covered at all times.

Fulla and her Traditions and Beliefs
Fulla unlike any other fashion dolls is an emblem of what a customary Muslim woman should be. Her life revolves only around her family and sometimes to her friends. She recognizes most of the adorned careers for Arab women and that is to be a doctor and or a teacher. With the creation of her careers as a doll, her influence has reached farther than recognizing traditions and beliefs but Fulla is a doll believes her self worth and is ready to take on the challenges of the future.
Also, Fulla has no romantic prospect and will never have any until marriage. This hugely reflects the Muslim tradition of not engaging to any romantic relationships until one marries.

Fulla as a great example to little Muslim girls
As she is seen less with superficial features, her attitude and strong character is what mostly gives her attractiveness. She endorses values to little girls and since a lot of children are fond of emulating icons and other figures they always see, parents need not worry about Fulla. Since she imparts lessons to little girls to be proud of them and to play a greater role to society in the future, Fulla is no doubt the best toy friend parents can buy them.

Countries in the Middle East went crazy over what could be a Fulla sensation. The Fulla doll who displays herself as a modest doll that is completely unlike Barbie. (...)

Countries in the Middle East went crazy over what could be a Fulla sensation. The Fulla doll who displays herself as a modest doll that is completely unlike Barbie. Fulla is seen wearing a traditional abaya and a hijab portrays the cultural significance of Arab countries.

Other dolls and the Fulla Fashion Doll
For many years there were several toy companies who tried to compete with Barbie by creating a doll that also dresses the Muslim traditional dress. However, no company has made it through the market in a way that the Fulla doll did. The creators of the Fulla doll, New Boy Designs Creator used a shrewd marketing by portraying a doll that is more than donning a hijab and or an abaya. Fulla is made into a doll that has a character and that is one of the main reasons why it has stayed on top of the market and was loved by parents and children alike. Also, Fulla doll is not just a mere toy because of its character it is something that Arab parents would want their young children to relate to because of her Muslim values.

Although it is priced a little more expensive than other existing Syrian dolls this did not stop the parents from patronizing and buying Fulla dolls for their children. Many young children loved and adored Fulla the fashion doll. Buying dolls used to be feared by parents because of the kind of influence it gives to their children. But with Fulla dolls, parents are never been happier to buy their children their “toy friend” as they are comfortable into leaving their kids and enjoy the dolls while they are out or busy.

Fulla compared to Barbie
If Barbie is seen as a liberated young girl, Fulla is very far different from Barbie. She is a modest and conservative doll who portrays an image of Muslim women. And this is something that all Arab parents would want to influence their children- through recognizing tradition and keeping them with their values being strengthened even with many outside influences ranging in the modern world. As it displays a woman of culture and tradition

Fulla is also fashionable
Well if you think that Fulla only wears a hijab and abaya then that would make her boring. So the creators also made a line of dress for Fulla that includes outfits and accessories for swimming, a school handbag, CD player, a watch, camera and other outdoor dresses. But to keep her modesty and conservative look as a Fulla doll should be, she wears no bikini and will always wear outfits that would cover her shoulders. Her skirts are also made sure not to be above her knees.

Truly Fulla shows an attitude and lifestyle that is far different than that of Barbie. Aside from the physical difference that like eye and hair color, there is really something more going behind it. Fulla is an icon that shows a perfect emblem of what a Muslim woman ought to be and what is expected of her.

Educational toys are made available to the children as a learning opportunity for them to enhance their different developmental skills but sadly most parents never realize that. (...)

Educational toys are made available to the children as a learning opportunity for them to enhance their different developmental skills but sadly most parents never realize that. Many business games like Tycoon and Monopoly teaches the players the right money management, also forms a healthy respect to the sense of owning a property.

ther games like Pictionary and Charades also enhance the artistic side of a child and develop the mind by contributing a big factor on a child’s ability to make decisions, being able to test logical skills and abstract. Some of the other games that would enhance the vocabulary of a child and something that would let them think more than what they are required to will definitely hone the child’s skills analytically. Boggle and scrabble games are two of the best examples of what has been previously mentioned.

Fulla – Not your average doll
Fulla is the end result of a very smart and fine marketing strategy, she is more than just a toy for little girls who would dream of playing toy friends and all about playing house and choosing their lifestyle and careers in the future. The end product has managed to outsell all the other existing competitors who weren’t able to realize what a character based doll would impact the buyers. Fulla has really managed to make what used to be just a toy franchise into a multi-million industry that has branched out into all sorts of lines including food, apparel, accessories and all the other possible related merchandise.

Fulla is more than what meets the eye
Since Fulla is represented with a power who was able to combine traditional values with an identity then it made her a sure hit in the Arab market. She was all the more loved by young kids who want to emulate her. She became an icon to young girls who are aspiring to become more of a person with substance rather than just being able to face in front of the people with her physical appearance.
As she became a beacon for little Muslim girls worldwide, she has proven herself that she is more than just a mere fashion doll. Fulla is a friend who is silent and can be a confidante. She is also advertised as a loving sister to her younger brothers and sister. Aside from that, she portrays a woman with a strong faith to their God and that she has respect not only to both her parents but most importantly respect for her self. She is definitely a role model to everyone and parents are now more comfortable in leaving their kids with Fulla.

Fulla as an Icon
Fulla also encourages the little girls to educate themselves and finish schooling. As a career woman, Fulla is never afraid to take on the future’s challenge and with that she has chosen two of the most respectable careers every Arab parent wish their children would become. She is a doctor and teacher at the same time. Both of which careers shows kindness and shares their blessings to everyone.

Fulla’s name is inspired after a scented flower that can only be found in the areas of the Middle Eastern countries. It is the end result of a fine and smart idea of creating a shrewd marketing by reproducing a real life doll that is based on character and less of appearance. The idea has been developed in 1999 but this never hit the market until during the year of 2003.

It has taken everyone’s heart by then and the market was not limited to Arab countries but it reached through boundaries like United States and even Europe. She is still attractive as she has a long black mane and large hazel eyes but she is never provocative. She dresses modestly and she possesses a lot of good characters like being honest, gentle, caring, loving and mostly respectful. These are the characters of which all Arab parents would want their children to akin.

Fulla's Fashion
As a tradition Fulla wears the customary outfit of a black abaya and a hijab to make her acceptable in the Arab market particularly Saudi Arabia. But there are also more broadminded countries like Lebanon and Syria where the outfits cover lesser of the body parts. Fulla’s outfit became larger than it is and were given meaningful colors that attune to the best color trend of the present. This though still appealed as dull to the American market since the skirts should strictly fall below the knees and the shoulders should always be covered.

Fulla’s Career
Fulla’s existence is maintained as a customary Arab woman and her life revolves around her family and home alone. Unlike the more liberated Barbie who has been to almost every job known even from being a President to an astronaut, Fulla is never a job hopper. So the two professional choices of Full would be a Teacher Fulla and a Doctor Fulla. These are two of the best profession choices because it gives girls the confidence of being able to contribute something to the society like extending help and sharing knowledge and wisdom.

Fulla's Values
The opportunities that are recognized by Fulla became one of her responsibilities that made it as one factor of outselling other fashion dolls in the market. Most of the buyers feel like Fulla is just one of them because she is not superficial. She does not heed in beauty and glamour instead she is more focused on education and self worth. Fulla is full of character that leads young children into having a direction in life that is meaningful and worth living for.

.Her traditional outfit and headscarf did not limit her sales in the Middle Eastern countries. Again, United States of America and even Europe were amazed by how Fulla doll was created and conceptualized. There is really no denying that because of this, Fulla became more than just a mere doll. She is now a woman that influences little children into being someone they are expected to be and that by doing so you do not really need to be like Barbie. She teaches children to value more of the inside or skin deep rather than focusing of what reflects in the mirror.
